We’re excited to announce that Hmong Network is now promoting all eligible products from our marketplace on Google Shopping. To ensure your products are eligible to appear in Google Shopping ads, please carefully assign the following required attributes when uploading your items to our marketplace:

  • Brand: This is required for all products. Please enter the official brand name exactly as shown on the product packaging or tags. If your product does not have an official brand, you can enter your store or company name.

  • GTIN: If your product has a UPC, EAN, or other GTIN number printed on the packaging or tags, you must enter it here. Providing the GTIN improves the chances of Google properly matching your product.

  • Condition: Mark if a product is New, Used, or Refurbished will allow the customers to make a well-informed decision. If a condition is not set, our system will automatically set it as New.

  • Gender: For apparel and accessories, select the gender the product is designed for. Common values are Male, Female, or Unisex. If a gender is not set, our system will automatically set it as Unisex.

  • Color: Enter the primary color of the product. Only include secondary colors if needed to distinguish between variants. If a color is not set, our system will automatically set it as White.

  • Age Group: Select the target age range for apparel and accessories. Common values are Toddler, Kids, or Adult. If a age group is not set, our system will automatically set it as Adult for most categories and Infant/Toddler for baby categories.

  • Adult Content: Indicate if the product contains sexually suggestive content. If this is not set, our system will automatically set it as not an Adult content.

If you do not specify these attributes, default values may be assigned that could prevent your items from being eligible to show for relevant searches. Please take a few extra minutes when uploading new products to accurately provide this information. Complete and rich data is crucial for giving customers the best experience and optimizing your product visibility in Google Shopping campaigns.

Important: These attributes are exclusively assignable through CSV uploads. You cannot configure these attributes using the “Add Product” feature within your dashboard. If you’ve previously added products using the “Add Product” function, you can incorporate these new attributes by updating the products through CSV. To perform additions or updates via CSV, please refer to the instructions below:

  1. Start by exporting your product data into a CSV file.

  2. Open this CSV file using your preferred spreadsheet editor.

  3. Next, make a duplicate of our example Product Import CSV.

  4. Copy all your products from your exported CSV file and paste them into the Product Import CSV Google Sheet. Look for the sheet named “Paste Your Exported CSV Here“.

  5. Once you’ve pasted your products there, navigate to the sheet labeled “Copy from here to paste to export sheet” and copy all the product information from this sheet and paste it into another sheet named “export sheet“.

  6. After pasting, you can now make edits to the Google Shopping attributes. You’ll find these attributes towards the end of the “export sheet

  7. Once you’ve finished editing, download the updated sheet as a CSV file.

  8. Return to the Tools page in your marketplace dashboard and click on the Import CSV.

  9. Upload the edited CSV file to import the product updates.

  10. Make sure to check the box next to “Update existing products

  11. Your existing products will now be updated with the new attribute values from the CSV file.

  12. Any new products that do not have an existing SKU will be imported as entirely new products.

  13. Finally, review the import results and, if necessary, re-upload the file to make any corrections.
