I took my Augsburg University students to the museum. Our focus is on learning about immigration and processes/experiences with assimilation and how that varies among different immigrant groups. The museum beautifully captures the history of the Hmong people, their culture, their experiences with immigration, as well as their adaptation to life in the U.S. while working to preserve their cultural traditions. This is the third time I've done this and I hope to keep doing so in the future.
