Dr. David Yang was born in a refugee camp in Thailand. His parents came to California in the summer of 1993 in hopes for a better future for their family. His family struggled to assimilate to living in the US and learning simple day-to-day activities such as using a western toilet, sink, oven, and lights. With no education, the family was limited with their employment opportunities. They utilized the skill set that they had to survive and started growing and selling produce at St. Luke’s farmers market, now relocated to House of Hope Presbyterian Church.

Helping his parents at the farm was how he sustained his first back injury. He received his first chiropractic care at the age of fourteen from lifting a two bushel basket full of pickling cucumbers. He can remember on that day he dropped on all four limbs and couldn’t move. His chiropractor educated him on proper lifting biomechanics along with certain stretches that he should be applying. David got better soon after the treatments and was inspired to make the same impact to others. Dr. David went on to obtain a degree in chemistry from Georgia Southern University. He attended and graduated from Northwestern Health Science University with his Doctorate of Chiropractic. As a practicing doctor of chiropractic, he wants to provide the same quality of care he remembers receiving and healing him.

Outside his practice, Dr. David enjoys traveling, hiking, fishing, and learning other cultures. One of his favorite places to visit and learn about was Brazil with their rich culture and delicious food. He also enjoys taking a trip up to BWCA every summer to escape the fast-paced city and enjoy the natural beauty of Minnesota.
