Very disappointed! We used DASS for wedding day hair and makeup services for 4 persons. We also incurred added expense and time for pre-event hair and makeup services with DASS for half of the group -- to ensure a consistent “look” and smooth experience. We planned to use them for another event but thankfully cancelled before signing contracts and paying more fees. Pre-event services were a waste since the “look” and effort during pre-event didn’t match our “day-of” experience, even though photos were taken to ensure consistency. The quality of services was sub-standard and well below expectations for our group: -They arrived 30+ min late on the “day-of”, which was critical because photographers were pre-scheduled along with wedding party activities (and communicated to DASS beforehand). Their delay added stress to our event. At the event, DASS’ makeup tech couldn’t readily find the makeup, which had been used at the pre-event, at her work station. So she decided to use our personally-purchased makeup (same brand/color as used during pre-event) given the already crunched time caused by arriving late. This not only added more delays, but no refund was given for use of our personal makeup. -The one-sided contract included specific times for us to provide DASS access to buildings and for each guest to arrive for services (which occurred) but didn’t address what happens when DASS arrives late or fails to bring/set-up a work station stocked with their supplies. The late start didn’t allow adequate time to remedy makeup issues. We immediately approached the owner and asked her to correct makeup for 3 out of 4 persons, including the bride! The owner tried to correct makeup, eyelashes, etc. (in the few minutes we had available) but it still fell short of expectations. -The contract included hotel fees, even though DASS salon studio was only 11 miles away from our wedding day site; however, even though the owner told us later that hotels weren’t used, these fees weren’t refunded. If they used local hotels, maybe they would have arrived on time. -Unfortunately, the contract requires pre-payment of guaranteed gratuity which wasn’t earned in our opinion, nor refunded. -When we spoke to the owner after the event, she offered zero refunds and a mere $17.50 discount on our next event, should we continue to retain them. We immediately cancelled DASS for our next event and instead booked talented and trusted make-up and hair artists through another source.

The ladies at Design Affair Salon Studio are AMAZING. I seriously cannot thank them enough for the magic they worked. I hired the DASS team for my September wedding after absolutely falling in love with them during my bridal hair and make up trial. I don't normally wear make up and I was worried I would be too made up on my wedding day and not feel like myself- DASS created the exact opposite! Lisa was so calming and wonderful to work with as she did my make up. She explained the difference in foundations and created the perfect look that also felt great on my skin. I didn't feel like I was trapped under 50 layers of make up weighing my face down. She was great at listening to my concerns and creating the correct solution. They have such a calming presence and made the morning of my wedding feel like I had gone to the spa. We laughed, smiled, and even cried. I easily felt like I had known them for years. My hair and make up continued to remain flawless throughout the night, even after hours on the dance floor! If you are looking for your perfect beauty team, this is the one!

Pang and Lisa did such beautiful jobs on my hair and makeup for my wedding day as well as on all my bridesmaids and female relatives. They were super attentive and responsive to any changes I requested from my trial and were such a calming presence on the morning of. They're both such sweet ladies and I could tell they were working very hard to make me happy and to work with me on scheduling, especially with a limited timeline for doing the makeup/hair for 8 women! Thank you so much to you both!

I hired the DASS team for my wedding in May. Lisa, Bao and Pang is talented, caring, kind and funny. The DASS team accommodated to my wedding party needs and made sure that we had a smooth morning. They were very easy to get along with and understood exactly what I envisioned for my hair and makeup for my wedding. I Loved that they took in consideration of my wedding dress making sure that my makeup and hair flowed with my wedding look during our trial. Lisa did an exceptional job on my makeup as I wanted a dramatic glam look. Bao worked her magic on making my hair look full, long and timeless. Lisa, Bao and Pang also worked on two of my bridesmaids, husband, mother and mother in law. Regardless of how many people they had to work on the DASS team were in sync with their timing. I highly recommend the DASS team as they are professional, communicative, and enjoyable to work with.

We booked DASS for our wedding this past June and Lisa, Bao, and Pang did a phenomenal job! We got hair and make up services for myself (the bride), my bridal party, our mothers, and my husband. Everyone raved about the DASS team and the beautiful work they did on their make up and hair. I really appreciated that they were professional, but added great energy and fun into our wedding day. I also loved that they were great at working around everyone's make up preferences and made everyone look so beautiful (and handsome) on our big day!
