DMCA Policy

Hmong Network hosts content submitted by business owners and visitors — listing descriptions and photos, marketplace product listings, reviews, business articles, and Bold Beginnings stories. If you believe something posted on the site infringes your copyright, this page explains how to tell us and what happens next, under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).

Send a written notice to hello@hmong.network with the subject line "DMCA Takedown Notice," including:

1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or someone authorized to act on their behalf.

2. Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.

3. Identification of the material you claim is infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it — a direct URL on hmong.network is the most reliable way (e.g. a business listing, marketplace product, review, or article page).

4. Your contact information — name, mailing address, phone number, and email address.

5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.

6. A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you're authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

A notice missing any of these elements may not be actionable, and we may ask you to resubmit it.

We review each notice and, where it's valid and the material is still live, remove or disable access to the identified content. Where we can identify the person who posted it, we'll notify them of the removal and give them our counter-notification process.

We don't independently verify a claim of infringement before acting on a facially valid notice — that's what the counter-notification process below is for.

If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, you can send a counter-notice to hello@hmong.network with:

1. Your physical or electronic signature.

2. Identification of the material that was removed and where it appeared before removal.

3. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.

4. Your name, address, and phone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your district (or, if outside the U.S., any district where Hmong Network may be found), and that you'll accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice.

Unless the original claimant files a court action seeking to restrain you from the activity, we may restore the material within 10-14 business days of receiving a valid counter-notice.

We may suspend or terminate the account of anyone who is the subject of repeated, valid infringement notices, consistent with our Terms of Service and account moderation policy.
