
Hmong Nationalities Organization (HNO)
Hmong Nationalities Organization (HNO) is a national non-profit 501(C)(3) organization dedicated to promoting Hmong identity, dignity, progress, and prosperity. Founded in 2011 by the Committee on Hmong Relations, HNO serves as a leading entity to the Hmong community and the general public on issues and policies related to cultural heritage, educational advancement, socio-economic development, and civic engagements of Hmong Americans. HNO is an Organization of the Hmong people, by the Hmong people, and for the Hmong people,? HNO Must? provide resources, financial contributions, and leadership to help the Hmong people; Must? collaborate with others to enhance the lives, socio-economic condition and status, educational opportunities, and living standards of Hmong communities; Must promote our history, language, culture, religious beliefs, and traditional practices to sustain Hmong through the test of time; Must exercise loyalty, good judgment, integrity, and candor in its work; Must be fair, reasonable, and accountable in fulfilling the expectation, interest, and aspiration of the Hmong people; and Must respect its members? rights, privileges, contributions, access, and treatment without discriminations contrary to HNO?s Bylaws and prohibited by law. Its purpose is to strengthen the foundation and well-being of the Hmong people, HNO will strive To become a strategic central apparatus for the Hmong people; To develop all facets of Hmong life within local, regional, and international environments; To provide resources for Hmong people thriving under different conditions and circumstances; To support Hmong people, wherever appropriate, in civics participation and social interaction in society; and To promote Hmong nationalities, history, language, culture, traditions, religious beliefs, and social customs for the generations.
