The Hmong American Farmers Association (HAFA) is a pivotal organization dedicated to enhancing the prosperity of Hmong farmers in Minnesota. Founded in 2011 by siblings Janssen and Pakou Hang, HAFA was established to address the unique challenges faced by Hmong farmers and to promote sustainable agricultural practices within this community.

Cooperative Endeavors

HAFA operates as a membership-based nonprofit, where collective efforts are central to its mission. The organization provides Hmong farmers with access to land, training, and resources necessary for successful farming operations. By leasing land on a 155-acre farm, HAFA members can cultivate crops while benefiting from shared infrastructure and services.
