Clayton KalmonSo good! The brisket unbelievable; so flavorful, just the right amount of fatty, juicy every time. Beautiful smoke ring, awesome bark. The wings and ribs also delicious. Guess what? They have collar greens... oh yeah baby.
Robert BischelI didn't even look at the menu, before I came in and boy was I surprised. As someone who's spent a lot of time in the south, I have struggled to find proper BBQ in the cities, especially a place that has GREENS!! The ribs were flavorful/tender and crispy on the sides, the mac-n-cheese was pretty good and the greens were so good, that I cried a little.
D_eight twoWent to brunch and ended up ordering takeout from FBBBQ to have for later and couldn't resist. Nibbled on a rib and had a slice of the brisket. The ribs was better than last time, not fall off the bone but easily a good chew with soft pull and the brisket is always meat butter you can't stop eating. Still my favorite BBQ place around in the twin cities.
David ChristenfeldGood place for barbecue, surprisingly cheap if you share a two plate. Everything was pretty tasty with the highlights being the Mac and cheese and rib tips. Nothing was jaw dropping but nothing was bad either. Overall; solid spot if you are looking for southern barbecue. (NOTE: I got takeout but live just a few blocks away so I don’t think the food quality was compromised)
STARWas excited to try this spot since it looks like its always busy and smells phenomenal but ive never been so disappointed ngl... Got the two meat combo with rib tips, brisket, fries and Mac n cheese. Fries were okay. Can't really go too wrong there. Everything else? Cold. Like I mean cold. Not like it just came out of the fridge cold but like it has been sitting on the counter all day cold. Not a lick of heat, not even from a microwave, on any of this. The Mac n cheese looked good. And that was it. Had no taste whatsoever and like another review says, literally tastes like butter noodles with cheese on top. Boxed Mac n cheese literally tastes better than this The rib tips were okay. Could've had a bit more seasoning and probably would tasted a lot better if it was actually hot. The brisket was okay. It was the thing I was looking forward too most in this meal as I love brisket. Wasn't the best ive had but was Def the best in this entire meal. Seasoning on it wasnt bad. Probably would've been a lot better had it actually been hot. Crazy thing is, the brisket was wrapped in foil as if though theyre tryna keep it hot💀 Also for some context so the argument "it mightve gotten cold on your way home" I literally live next door to the place so from the time it took me to get my food to sitting at my dining table was a mins. The texas toast. Its toast. Canes toast is better than this though ngl. Added some garlic butter I had in the fridge on it and made it my second favorite thing in this whole meal. Overall, not sure if its cuz I came on a random Wednesday an hour before close (theyre only open for 4 hours) but im forcing myself to finish this because i paid $27 for it but if I were come back, it'd only be for the brisket and hopefully then it'll actually be warm. Maybe only on the weekends can you get actual warm food. Edit: I left two stars only because im too nice to leave only 1💀
