For more than a decade, iYa Taekwondo has trained students on Greenhaven Drive in Sacramento, California. The school's mission is simple. Help people of every age reach their full potential. Students build physical fitness, discipline, and mental strength. They train in a supportive, welcoming space. Martial arts here is more than kicks and punches. It is a path of real personal growth. Kids build self-confidence as they earn their first stripes. Teens sharpen focus and discipline at an age when both matter most. Adults find a real outlet for fitness and stress relief. Many discover strength they did not know they had. Every class is built around the student, not a fixed script. Instructors get to know each student's goals. Maybe that means competing. Maybe it means getting in shape or gaining confidence. The result is a warm space for beginners and a strong path for advanced students. That care has made iYa Taekwondo a true home base for the Greenhaven community. Sacramento families trust this school for more than just technique.

TylerI started when I was 5 years old and I had an amazing experience here! The teachers are very kind and the owner is super nice. She is hard working has one of the best mindsets. The front desk manager is also very supportive and kind. Their competition team has made me expand more in taekwondo and I’ve had many achievements and great times from that. This is one of my favorite places it to go and taekwondo is the best in my opinion
David GuntherBoth my kids have been going to iYa since they were 3-4 years old. My 13-year old daughter earned her black belt last year, and my 9-year old son is about to earn his red belt. It's not so much the martial arts that I find valuable in their training at iYa, but the life-lessons that are taught consistently that would be difficult to find elsewhere. Things like integrity and perseverance I've seen come out in my kids first hand; thought I'd like to think I'm an awesome parent, I can't help but share some of the credit with Ms. Xai and the iYa staff. Their philosophies align with our family's values and it's nice to see, on a backpacking trip with my son, for example, him walking over 9 miles carrying a 25lb backpack up and down mountains, being exhausted but wanting to push on to get to our target campsite. These moments of pride I have when my kids do something extraordinary are also a testament to the training they get at iYa Taekwondo. I wholeheartedly recommend iYa to anyone looking for a place for their child to learn life lessons and a martial art.
Arielle JulieMy family is new to iYa, and have already felt so accepted. Our 8 year old daughter started two months ago and hasn't stopped talking about her teachers and classes. She wants to practice non-stop at home. I'm impressed with the instructors and their ability to command and hold everyone's attention and engagement. I also appreciate the focus on core values that benefit my daughter's confidence and our whole family. We're looking forward to attending our first belt promotion ceremony this weekend (after two months), and enrolling our 5 year old daughter in classes soon. Thank you Ms. Xai and everyone that makes iYa Amazing!
Joe UsreyMy daughter has been taking classes at iYa for over a month and she absolutely loves it. The teachers are all friendly & knowledgeable and great with kids. There is a real sense of community and our entire family felt welcome from the very first day. Perhaps the best endorsement I can give is the change in my daughter’s personality and behavior. She is more thoughtful, has more focus and self-control and a new sense of confidence. I am so glad I stopped in for the introductory class! Thanks iYa!
hyung xlineI’ve made so many friends over the past years at Iya. The school is very welcoming and includes everyone. Some of my closest friends have come from this school. Not only have I made so many friends but my confidence has grown. Compared to before, I am much more confident. I can talk in front of people with ease. I’m very thankful for Iya Taekwondo for making me who I am today.
